Mission, Vision, & Values

Every year, thousands of children in Oklahoma are removed from their homes because of evidence of abuse and neglect. They are uprooted from the only family they’ve known, taken out of school and away from friends. In short, their worlds are turned upside down. Going through the child welfare system is scary and no child should do it alone.

OUR MISSION
CASA of Southwest Oklahoma's mission is to provide specially selected and trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children so they may find safe, loving, and permanent homes.

CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and speak up for abused and neglected children to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service systems or languish in the foster care system. CASA volunteers stay with each child until he or she is placed in a safe, permanent home and the case is closed. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer is the one constant in their lives and often, the one adult who cares only for them.

Every abused and neglected child has a CASA volunteer appointed to represent his/her best interests.

Adaptability

We contribute to the larger child welfare network and other providers of support services whenever possible. We respond to requests from stakeholders, court and service-related parties, and contributors, and support one another as we work to fulfill our mission.

Quality
We pursue excellence in all we do, and strive for continual growth and development. We support volunteers and staff in their growth and development as they provide advocacy for abused and neglected children.

We are faithful to our mission and values, doing what is best for the organization and the children we serve. We endeavor to help ensure quality and long term sustainability. CASA of Southwest Oklahoma, Inc. holds paramount the strategic and responsible management of the resources with which we have been entrusted.
